Yuksek is a producer that I’ve stumbled across recently who really impresses me. His music isn’t necessarily experimental or pushing any boundaries, but what I think it does is perfectly combine all the elements of nu disco, electro house, electro pop, and french house music in a way that is hard-hitting yet very polished and accessible. In this interview he describes himself as a “director-remixer,” organizing tracks in a set or sounds in his own compositions in a way that is more accessible “for the ears.” Exactly. Clean, punchy, and energetic. It doesn’t surprise me when I hear that his live show is incredible. Hopefully he’ll make a trip across the pond sometime soon.
